Primed Pine mouldings are crafted from trimming defects of common grade lumber to make shortlengths of clear lumber. These pieces are then finger-jointed into longer lengths and manufactured into mouldings. This process reduces the tendency of a piece to twist or warp, resulting in a product that is lighter and easier to cut and install than MDF.

All gesso primed products have three coats of factory applied primer for an ultra smooth surface that eliminates visible joints and grain. No more than one finish coat of paint is needed in most cases.
